Before emailing us your photos, there are some things we need you to check a few things to make sure we can produce the highest quality enlarged photo possible. If you have additional questions please call or text 919-432-4378
1. Crop your image
Our design team will add the custom cut line to your photo, but it would help if you crop your image first before checking your image resolution in the next step. Think of it like when you zoom in on a photo and you realize that the face is blurry up close in a bigger picture. We want to avoid that.
2. Check your resolution
Image resolution is an important factor in having a high-quality print. We need HIGH-RESOLUTION images! Here are some things to know:
- DPI (dots per inch) is the density of the dots that make up a printed image
- Low-resolution images have around 72 DPI
- High-resolution images are at least 300 DPI
Checking image resolution on a PC: Select the file you want to use. Right-click on the image and then select “Properties.” A window will appear with the image’s details. Go to the “Details” tab to see the image’s dimensions and resolution.
Checking a photo’s resolution on a Mac: Select the image you want to use and “Right-click” on it. Click on “Get Info”. You can also use the inspector in the ‘preview’ app. The image information window will open. You can find the image dimension and resolution under the “More Info” tab.
